The San Diego Dog Trainer Directory was created by volunteer effort to provide a list of experienced trainers to adopters of rescue and shelter dogs. All trainers have been screened and are using only scientific, modern positive reinforcement training methods. Trainers do not pay to be on this list. No advertising is allowed.

Positive reinforcement dog training strengthens the bond between you and your dog as you become a more skilled, trusted, benevolent leader. As a dog owner seeking a dog training class or behavior consultation, you can be assured that the trainers on this list will never ask you to hurt or intimidate your dog in the name of training. Positive reinforcement dog training is motivating and fun for all!
